What Youll Be Doing

The ASG team supports the Alternate Solutions Group business with enhanced reporting governance and FP&A requirements. The teams accountabilities involve Financial Planning & Analysis for that segment of Payments while answering various ad-hoc requests from the business other finance partners operations teams and technology teams. As a Director you will be mainly supporting the ASG desk with FP&A monthly and quarterly tasks. You will also provide guidance in regard to all new initiatives and enhancements to the Alternate Solutions strategies ensuring consistent accounting principles are applied across the bank.

How Youll Succeed

  • Deliver accurate and insightful management reporting - Provide timely clear and accurate analysis of ASG financial results and key business metrics. Ensure all management reporting requirements are met and respond effectively to ad hoc requests from business finance and operations partners.
  • Support the LE/Planning cycle - Support the quarterly LE/Plan development and manage the uploading process ensuring reasonableness of assumption and alignment with forecasting guardrails and guidelines. Maintain consistency and accuracy throughout all planning activities based on direction from the Capital Markets CFO team and the business.
  • Support new initiatives and process flows - Review business case documents for new products and enhancements ensuring accuracy consistency and reasonability before executive review. Actively participate in process design and testing for new and modified reporting flows collaborating with Technology to ensure all relevant reporting matters are addressed and implemented prior to product launch.
  • Champion process improvement - Support the implementation and enhancement of strategy-level reporting initiatives ensuring there is alignment on requirements and with all stakeholder groups and implementation is in compliance with all stakeholder needs. Identify and drive opportunities to enhance existing reporting and forecasting processes working closely with ASG Business Controllership Product Control Technology and other key teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Mentor and oversee analyst team - Provide guidance and development opportunities to analysts and other team members. Ensure high standards of accuracy timeliness and operational continuity in all reporting activities.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in working with Capital Markets products in a previous role in Finance Accounting and Product Control environment. Its an asset if you have or are working towards a professional designation (CPA CFA FRM MFin etc.). Previous experience related to project management will be an asset as well.
