The role
The purpose of this role is to deliver hands-on financial and operational support across the business by managing core accounting and operational processes. The position is responsible for posting journals maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and overseeing the full accounts receivable and accounts payable functions ensuring accurate processing timely collections and supplier payments. The role also supports the sales team by managing renewals and converting approved deals into live projects ensuring all transactions are correctly set up invoiced and recorded. By owning these end-to-end operational finance activities the role ensures financial accuracy process efficiency and seamless coordination between finance and sales.
On a day to day basis the Accountant will
Accounting responsibilities
Review validate and formally approve project budgets ensuring commercial viability margin compliance and alignment with financial governance standards.
Prepare and review project estimates ensuring accurate forecasting of costs revenue and margin.
Upload and validate approved project estimates within finance systems ensuring consistency between forecasting and actuals.
Process and post specific regional or project-related estimates maintaining accuracy in financial tracking and reporting.
Complete and reconcile cost of sales calculations within the accounting system ensuring accuracy in margin reporting.
Process final supplier invoices reconcile balances and close the purchase ledger for monthly reporting.
Prepare and submit Network Operations Centre (NOC) intercompany cost recharges ensuring correct allocation and documentation.
Process international transition cross-charge invoices into the accounting system ensuring timely and accurate posting.
Compile supporting documentation and schedules for intercompany transition charges.
Reconcile validate and post corporate credit card expenditure ensuring policy compliance and correct cost allocation.
Process recurring journal entries for standard monthly accruals prepayments and adjustments.
Review and approve employee timesheets ensuring accurate cost allocation to projects and correct payroll processing.

Sales Operations Responsibilities
Reduce risk from cost change by leveraging partner promotions and programs with the commitment to uphold the sales integrity of every deal.
Demonstrate financial acumen by understanding basic tax implications exchange rates and financial dynamics.
Confidently convert across all currencies and manage intercompany purchase orders.
Maintain regular communication from quote requests to purchase orders and delivery.
Maximise profitability by understanding partner discounts promotions and programs.
Review and verify customer orders for accuracy including product specifications pricing and delivery details.
Enter order data into our systems cross data analysis ensuring all information is accurate and complete for processing. Maintaining accurate records of inventory and shipments related to partner products and licences.
Strive and maintain operational excellence: Using tools documentation and processes to the highest standard.
Establish a high level of engagement with partners sales teams and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and on-time delivery.
Maintain proficiency in platforms like Salesforce AX CCW and others.
Identify and resolve order discrepancies: Sole aim to ensure a smooth client experience.

Experience
Bachelor of Commerce (Finance or Accounting major preferred)
Studying towards or open to studying for Chartered Accountant/CPA/ACCA
1-2 years industry experience specifically knowledge of posting journals invoices and paying suppliers
Excellent attention to detail communication (written and verbal) time management skills and organisational skills
A growth mindset and willingness to adapt
