Pay: $45/hr $1828/week $1148 weekly stipend

Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 6:45 AM 5:15 PM (10hr Day FIRM schedule no alternate schedule requests)
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Weekends holidays and on-call required
Hours: 40 hours/week (Guaranteed)
Schedule Type: Deferred Schedule
Block Scheduling: Not permitted
Contract Type: Allied

Daily OT after 24 hours (Based on multiplier)
Weekly OT after 40 hours (Based on multiplier)

Job Description:

The Surgical Technologist assists in surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse supporting Level 1 Trauma cases. This role requires maintaining sterile technique preparing instruments and supplies and assisting the surgical team throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities:

Perform scrub duties following established aseptic techniques
Prepare sterile instrument tables and supplies based on surgical procedures
Assist with patient positioning draping and operative site preparation
Anticipate surgeons needs for instruments sutures sponges and supplies
Maintain accurate sponge needle and instrument counts
Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout procedures
Assist with specimen handling dressings and patient transfer
Support circulating nurse functions as needed
Assist with room turnover and preparation for the next case
