Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Field Patrol in Charlotte NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and service calls. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors document security-related activity and support a welcoming experience. This post requires an armed guard card/license and offers a role grounded in teamwork integrity and a people-first culture at Allied Universal.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and staff by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to alarms disturbances and other incidents in a calm problem-solving manner documenting actions taken and reporting to site leadership as required.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility parking areas ATM areas and perimeter watching for suspicious activity and conditions that may require security-related attention.
- Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances verifying identification and/or authorization and maintaining visitor and key control logs per site policy.
- Monitor surveillance systems and conduct security-related checks coordinate with local law enforcement when appropriate and complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 years combined law enforcement/military/security-related experience OR a college degree.
- Have 1 years of security-related experience.
- Have an armed guard card/license.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
