CMNT/Cyber/Cloud Lab Assistant
Overview:
Helps students in Computer Maintenance/Cyber/Cloud classes develop the learning study and problem-solving skills to prepare for homework and tests complete lab assignments and have success in their coursework.
***This position is open to current Grayson College students only***
The salary rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- 60% Provides group instruction and one-on-one tutoring; communicates and explains familiar and new concepts to students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of IT skills.
- 30% Assists students in the use of computers.
- 5% Keeps the lab clean and organized.
- 5% Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Performance Measurements:
1. Demonstrates the Viking Values of balance clarity gratitude service teamwork and trust.
2. Maintains an effective working relationship with students; serves as a positive role model.
3. Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
4. Promotes the educational values of equity diversity and inclusion in the computer lab.
5. Maintains the confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
6. Complies with all laws and regulations related to higher education.
