We have a brand new opportunity to join our Employee Relations team! The ER Partner Litigation & Capability is responsible for managing a team of ER Specialists and ensuring the delivery of high-quality employee relations support across the business. This role combines operational ER case management with leadership responsibilities including coaching capability building building an inclusive culture and strategic risk management. This particular role has a focus on managing the end-to-end delivery of employment tribunals and increase managing the capability growth plans and delivery.
Key responsibilities of the ER Partner - Litigation & Capability:
- Lead and develop ER Advisors providing coaching and feedback to build capability with a focus on litigation & TUPE.
- Manage complex cases Early conciliations & tribunals from start to finish. (Use of third-party barristers in hearings)
- Monitor ER trends and proactively implement strategies to feedback to the operations and HR teams to mitigate further risk.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners Legal and senior stakeholders to influence ER decisions.
- Drive cultural change initiatives and support organisational projects related to ER.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of ER metrics for leadership review.
- Represent ER in union consultations and negotiations where required.
- Role model company values and maintain team morale during periods of change.
- Influence development of ER policy & tools
- Lead the ER capability increase program for the department. Building learning in conjunction with learning & development and ensuring quality delivery that shows measured success.
Qualifications :
- Strong Leadership and people management skills
- Expert knowledge of UK Employment Law and ER best practices
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage change
- Excellent communication negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- CIPD level 5 or equivalent preferred
- Experience managing ER teams and complex cases in a multi-site environment
- High level of experience in tribunal management & bundle build
- Confidence in complex TUPE processes
