Job Summary
As a Mechanical Technician you will join our team in Portsmouth to support our activities within the Space sector.
You will support mechanical assembly and production activities within a structured engineering environment. Working from clear work instructions you will use hand tools and standard software packages to complete build and assembly tasks to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical assembly using hand tools
- Follow detailed work instructions and technical documentation
- Support build modification and mechanical fitting activities
- Use standard computer software (Microsoft Office / Google packages) for documentation and tracking
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Basic mechanical hand skills and experience using hand tools
- Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately
- Comfortable using standard computer software packages
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Positive proactive attitude
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant hands on mechanical experience or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within aerospace defence or manufacturing environments
- Experience working to quality standards
- Practical workshop experience
