Key responsibilities of the Lead Science Technician include:
Leading and managing the Science Technician team
Preparing and coordinating equipment and materials for practical Science lessons across KS3KS5
Maintaining laboratories and ensuring all equipment is safe and fully functional
Managing stock control ordering and departmental resources
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and COSHH regulations
Supporting teaching staff and students during practical sessions where required
Organising prep rooms chemical storage and equipment systems efficiently
