Electrical-BIM Modeler

The Electrical-BIM Modeler should demonstrate expertise in industry-standard software including Revit and Navisworks. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of electrical design disciplines including lighting design small power distribution lightning protection systems earthing solutions and single-line diagram preparation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for electrical systems and components
• Coordinate with electrical design engineers and other project disciplines to ensure model accuracy and consistency
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks to identify conflicts between electrical systems and other building services
• Generate construction documentation schedules and reports from BIM models
• Ensure all models comply with relevant industry standards codes and client specifications
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and model validation to maintain data integrity
• Manage model revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with architects structural engineers and MEP teams to integrate electrical systems within the overall building design
• Prepare lighting layouts power distribution diagrams and protection system schematics within the BIM environment
• Support project teams with BIM coordination meetings and technical documentation

Qualifications :

**Required Qualifications:**

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit with demonstrated experience in electrical systems modelling
• Comprehensive knowledge of BIM software and related tools including Navisworks
• Strong understanding of electrical design disciplines including lighting design power distribution lightning protection systems and earthing solutions
• Ability to develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for electrical systems and components
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards codes and best practices in electrical design and BIM coordination
• Experience with clash detection and resolution methodologies
• Proficiency in generating construction documentation schedules and reports from BIM models

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Advanced certification in Revit or other BIM software
• Experience with MEP coordination and multi-disciplinary project delivery
• Familiarity with single-line diagram preparation and electrical protection system schematics
• Proven experience in quality assurance and model validation processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Experience in supporting BIM coordination meetings and technical documentation delivery
