The purpose of this position is to supervise shift operations of Value stream / Sub Value streams handling customer
complaints internally as well as at customer site internal defects supervising manpower coordination with crossfunctional
depts. coaches & develop associates ensure conformance to safety quality & shop-floor standards maintain
discipline follow deviation management and continuous improvement to achieve targeted operational results.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize production setup as per production schedule assign task to associates follow standard procedures methods BPS & work instructions adapt & steer primary production activities to fulfil SQCD targets of the shift.
Participate in visits at customer site contribute in complaint resolution to reduce Q incidents. Lead the cross functional team in detail investigation along with R&D for complex Quality complaints to improve Customer perception.
Conduct & document checks / LPC to ensure conformance to safety quality & shop-floor standards. Record shift events (attendancebreakdowns quality issues criticality performance etc). Summarize shift events & performance and handover to next shift FLM to ensure seamless production continuity
Track production performance and efficiency KPI (OEE FPY scrap tool life levelling fulfilment etc.) identify and record deviations collaborate with CFT members or escalate impediments to define & ensure execution of corrective actions to restore & stabilize targeted performance conditions
organize & lead daily meetings (shift SQCD etc) with associates CFT members managers vendors etc to communicate relevant topics initiatives goals challenges & success projects discipline performance etc to uphold transparency productivity & good working relationship
Organise periodic discussion with associates to voice their concerns grievances etc. Clarify advice counsel resolve orraise topics to superiors in a fair transparent & amicable manner to safe guard interests of associates & management and build a progressive work environment.

Motivate and coach associates into active engagement of learning problem-solving & identifying potentials in manufacturing for Kaizenssuggestions on SQCD to enable operational excellence. Implement organizational change initiatives to bring transformational improvements to VS performance.
Ideate and implement digital solutions eg. MES/MAS and lead agile projects with VSO to improve VS efficiency. Motivate and coach associates for active engagement in TPM Kaizensuggestion etc. to enable operational excellence.
Assess the skill gaps of associates and plan training for target skill level. Organize and train new associates/ temporary & trainees to develop manufacturing skills to achieve SQCD targets.
Assess and improve defined manufacturing standards test specification. Plan and administer process confirmation (L1 to L5). Communciate and monitor deviation management. (e.g standardised work 14QP). Represent VS as auditee for external EHS Q audits and ensure compliance.
Follow defined manufacturing process standards i.e. drawings PDS SPC PFEP Gauge validity and conduct checks to confirm release of manufacturing during Shift start / Change over and execute defined deviation management if needed to ensure defect free production.
Facilitate ideation and implementation of lean improvement /defect cost reduction / Quality improvement projects in the Value Stream in co-ordination with VSO members to achieve
the BPS System CIP / Defect cost / Quality improvement targets for the VS.
Compile consolidate and report shop floor deliverables e.g. SAP reporting input hours rejection qty down-times to enable management to visualize actual performance e.g. cost review inventory order tracking associate payment maintenance budgets etc. to accordingly steer business performance
