Title : Assistant Manager/Deputy Sales Manager FFI (North)

Broad Functions and Purpose of Position:
Sales Engineer FFI (North) is tasked with maximizing revenue material margin and increased customer penetration with Façade Fenestration & Insulating Glass customers in North India. He/she must deeply understand customer needs products and applications to devise effective sales strategies identify new opportunities forge strategic partnerships and drive sales growth. The primary focus is on developing new business opportunities while also managing existing businesses offering technical and commercial support to drive sales growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify target industries key accounts and growth opportunities.
- Forecast sales volumes revenues and profitability.
- Plan product launches and market penetration initiatives.
Business Development
- Proactively seek information about customers business in understanding Existing / New Projects for tendering.
- Develop short- medium- and long-term business strategy by analyzing project database in the region.
- Actively engaging with Façade Consultants to get Sika products specified in the BOQ / Make list.
- Follow up with Façade fabricators / contractors for structural glazing Weather silicones trials / Mockups
- Collaborate with Technical Service for design calculation and substrate validation.
- Lead value addition (VAVE) activities at customer end in collaboration with Technical Service and respective Customer Group Manager.
- Implement value added services like project management and online design calculation tools for all projects.
Account & Relationship Management
- Manage existing customer accounts and ensure repeat business.
- Understand client technical requirements and match them with product offerings.
- Provide customized solutions to improve customer processes and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle escalations contract renewals and credit management
Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking
- Monitor industry trends competitor products and pricing strategies.
- Collect customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for product diversification or new applications.
- Share insights with product management and R&D teams
Technical & Commercial Support
- Provide product demonstrations trials and application guidance.
- Support clients with technical documentation and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with market field engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Ensure value selling rather than price-based competition.
Sales Operations & Administration
- Manage quotations and pricing approvals.
- Oversee order processing delivery schedules and inventory coordination.
- Ensure timely follow-up for collections and adherence to payment terms.
- Maintain CRM records and prepare sales performance reports.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
- Handle client escalations efficiently and ensure quick resolution.
- Proactively identify potential risks and take corrective actions
Qualifications/Experience/Education:
Education:
- Masters/bachelors degree in engineering from a reputed institute. MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in B2B & B2C In construction / Building material components. Prior experience in façade industry will be preferred.
Skills:
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of Façade products market trends North India geography and consumer behaviour.
- Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
