Job Summary

Salary/Position Classification

  • $18.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10-15 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Aerospace Physiology Personnel with the filing of departmental student paperwork.
  • Assist department personnel with the disposition of altitude chamber flight student paperwork.
  • Maintain altitude chamber flight records.
  • Train on and safely perform as altitude chamber operator for hypoxia and rapid decompression altitude chamber flights.
  • Assist departmental personnel with the fitting of student oxygen equipment.
  • Train on and safely operate altitude chamber vacuum pump and air compressor.
  • Train on and safely operate Spatial Disorientation Trainer.
  • Train on and safely operate Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS) trainer

Minimum Requirements

  • Good communication skills.
  • Maintain at least a 3.5 GPA
  • Aviation Major Air Traffic Management or UAS major
  • Current CPR training card
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with use of oxygen equipment.
  • Experience and/or training with Red Cross First Aid.
  • Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS) Training.
  • Night-Vision Goggle and Forward-Looking Infrared experience or training.
