DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research to investigate mechanisms of liver injury inflammation and vascular dysfunction in MASH.
- Design and execute experimentsusing in vitro and in vivo models of lipotoxic liver disease.
- Perform advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques including but not limited to plasmid cloning gene expression analysis protein assays and cell signaling studies.
- Isolate and characterize primary liver cells including intrahepatic leukocytes hepatocytes and liver sinusoidal endothelial cells.
- Manage and perform rodent handling and interventions including diet-induced MASH models and genetic or pharmacologic manipulations.
- Apply flow cytometry immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence techniquesto assess cell populations and pathological changes.
- Perform basic bioinformatic analysis(e.g. RNA-seq) and interpret complex datasets.
- Participate in manuscript preparation presentations and grant writing.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Ph.D. inPhysiology and biomedical engineering biochemistry and Molecular Biology Immunology Vascular Biology or related biomedical discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise inliver pathobiologyandbasic molecular and mechanistic techniques.
- Hands-on experience withanimal handling including approval and conduct of rodent studies.
- Proven ability withplasmid cloning gene manipulation andcell isolationprocedures.
- Competence inbasic bioinformatic data analysis(e.g. differential gene expression pathway analysis).
- Solid background inimmunology particularly as related to inflammation and cellular crosstalk.
- Familiarity withvascular biology or endothelial cell functionin organ pathology is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
- Use ofomics approachesto understand tissue zonation and cell interactions.
- Experience in studyingintercellular signaling.
- Strong written and oral communication skills suitable for presentations and publications.
