The Opportunity: Senior Business Intelligence Engineer - NIRA

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer builds and maintain high-quality analytics that power our lending operations for our Nira business team. Youll partner closely with business credit and finance teams to define KPIs develop scalable dbt models and deliver accurate trusted reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners.

This role also supports migration of reporting into Databricks ensures data quality and collaborates with the US-based Tilt BI team to maintain strong analytics standards.

Location: Hybrid (23 days onsite) Bangalore India

How Youll Make an Impact

• Develop accurate responsive and easy to understand dbt models that drive quality decision making across Nira lending operations.

• Discover issues edge cases outliers and anomalies in our lending data. Develop exception reporting and outlier analysis to highlight findings.

• Extend and adapt dbt models based on business needs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data and models.

• Coordinate with internal and external teams on changes to existing reporting and implement.

• Work with stakeholders and data infrastructure team to ensure that analytics is managed with the highest respect for our customers personal information and with the right level of access controls.

• Expand documentation and guides around BI data models.

• Act as a SQL query and analysis resource for analysts across the organization.

• Collaborate with the US based Tilt BI team for consistency and best practices.

Why Youre a Great Fit

• Minimum 6 years working directly with business stakeholders. Ability to quickly and deeply understand stakeholder needs then translate to analytics models is an absolute must. Strong communication skills required.

• Minimum 6 years in an analytical role supporting finance accounting or lending teams preferably in a fintech or financial services environment.

• Minimum 4 years working with dbt in data model design implementation and validation.

• Minimum 4 years working in an international environment including experience directly in the US or with US based stakeholders.

• Demonstrated track record of working directly with business teams on end to end data modeling / reporting projects from requirements gathering to reporting outputs.

• Expert SQL skills with a track record of delivering accurate and performant queries for driving reporting.

• Interest in using AI tools to accelerate analytics development. Experience with AI coding tools a huge plus

• Experience with Databricks Snowflake or Synapse (Databricks a plus)

• Expert fluency in English spoken and written.
