JOB SUMMARY
This is an executive instructional position within the Learning and Teaching Department reporting to the Deputy Superintendent of PreK-12 Instruction. This position serves as instructional leader coach and supporter providing a direct connection to all district departments and programs. This position advocates for and informs building leaders as they lead their school community in providing a safe nurturing and inclusive environment for staff ensuring continuous improvement for each scholar. These efforts will align with the districts Strategic Plan and Vision for Excellence. The Chief Instructional Leader provides equitable instructional leadership on behalf of the district for the assigned area in service of our scholars and community.

- Submits recommendations to the Deputy Superintendent for identifying staffing needs of building leaders. Assists in recruitment selection and recommendation of hiring of personnel.
- Reviews and monitors the building scholars data system for individual records of all scholars both in general education and those scholars receiving MTSS SE EL and 504 services.
- Oversees and manages the implementation of school policies standard operating proceduresand procedures to include special education needs.
- Stays abreast of all legal mandates governing both general and special education.
- Supports staff in effective instructional practices and curriculum implementation that increase access to the general curriculum for all scholars.
- Directs manages and implements on-goingprofessional development and learningto improve instructional delivery healthy culture and climate and to operationalize our Strategic Planin conjunction with other Cabinet members.
- Collaborates with peers and colleagues to ensure strategies and initiatives are coherent and effective.
- Gathers and analyzes data for the purpose of improving academic achievement Social Emotional Learningand scholar outcomes.
- Collaborates and works closely with theDeputy Superintendentand other Cabinet members to develop and implement strategies that will lead to academic success for all scholars while maintaining an equitable and inclusive learning environment for all.
- Maintains knowledge of current and emerging teaching and learning theories change management theoriesand strategies supporting in-person and distance learning.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in education or related leadership field.
- Seven years of successful educational administrative experience and/or relevant administrative experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Proven team leadership and problem solving (listen identify problem and collaboratively problem solve).
- Demonstrated ability to make good decisions that are consistent and fair within contractual guidelines and Board policies.
- Ability to work with diverse groups facilitate group discussions and teach adult learners.
- Ability to be a team leader plan and manage multiple projects and budgets.
- Attention to detail in composing typing and proofing materials establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
