Role Overview
The ideal candidate combines strong core product management skills with a deep interest in education transformation at scale and experience building products in the development or public sector ecosystem.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Define and drive product vision strategy and roadmap aligned with ConveGenius mission of improving learning outcomes at scale.
Conceptualize and design products that:
- Improve foundational and grade-level learning outcomes for government school students.
- Provide structured classroom support and hand-holding tools for teachers.
- Enable teacher capacity development through actionable insights and resources.
- Strengthen system-level monitoring governance and reform through data-driven dashboards and workflows.
Identify high-impact problem statements across students teachers administrators and state-level stakeholders.
Product Development & Execution
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery user research PRDs prototyping development testing launch and iteration.
Translate complex education and governance challenges into scalable technology-enabled product solutions.
Work closely with engineering design data program and state engagement teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Develop clear product requirement documents (PRDs) user stories and acceptance criteria.
Prioritize features based on impact feasibility scalability and stakeholder needs.
User & Stakeholder Engagement
Conduct field visits user interviews and stakeholder consultations with teachers students administrators and government officials.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align on product goals and outcomes.
Incorporate continuous user feedback into product enhancements and iterations.
Data & Impact Orientation
Define success metrics and KPIs linked to learning improvement teacher effectiveness and system efficiency.
Work closely with data teams to design dashboards and reporting systems for administrators and policymakers.
Use quantitative and qualitative insights to inform product decisions and roadmap adjustments.
Ensure products enable actionable real-time insights for classroom and administrative decision-making.
Scale & System Thinking
Design products that can scale across districts and states within government systems.
Ensure usability in low-resource environments (connectivity device constraints digital literacy considerations).
Embed sustainability interoperability and integration considerations into product architecture.
Key Qualifications & Skills Required
Educational Qualification
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree (MBA Public Policy Education or related field) preferred.
Experience
6 years of experience in product management.
Prior experience building products in the development sector GovTech EdTech or public systems strongly preferred.
Experience working with large-scale multi-stakeholder ecosystems (e.g. governments NGOs foundations).
Core Product Skills
Strong product discovery and problem-framing capabilities.
Experience defining and executing product roadmaps for scalable digital platforms.
Ability to write high-quality PRDs and translate strategy into execution.
Strong prioritization and decision-making skills in complex environments.
Experience working in cross-functional teams (engineering design data operations).
Data & Analytical Skills
Strong comfort working with data dashboards metrics and impact measurement.
Ability to define measurable outcomes and track product performance.
Experience using data to drive product iterations and improvements.
Domain Orientation
Strong interest in education transformation and improving learning outcomes at scale.
Understanding of government school systems and public sector constraints is a plus.
Empathy for teachers and students especially in low-resource contexts.
