About the Role - Junior Software Engineer (Internship)

Were looking for a Junior Software Engineer Intern for a 3-month summer internship whos excited to learn curious about how real systems work and comfortable jumping across the stack with guidance from experienced engineers.

Location requirement: Candidates must be based in Cluj-Napoca or Bucharest.

• Build and improve backend services that power real-time AI features and search
• Help design and implement APIs for internal and external integrations
• Contribute across the stack when needed (backend frontend infrastructure)
• Work closely with product managers ML engineers and other software engineers
• Take tasks from implementation through deployment with mentorship and code reviews
  Participate in technical discussions and learn best practices through hands-on work

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or currently pursuing one)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solid foundation in computer science
• Familiarity with at least one backend language (Python Go or similar)
• Basic experience working with APIs (REST gRPC or equivalent)
• Willingness to learn ask questions and collaborate with others
• Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• International programming or math olympiad prizes are a strong plus

• 02 years of experience in software engineering (internships count)
• Exposure to databases like PostgreSQL ClickHouse Elasticsearch or similar
• Basic understanding of system design distributed systems or cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure)
• Some familiarity with frontend development (React or similar frameworks)

Compensation for this position includes a base salary equity and a variety of benefits. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors including experience skillset and location as well as applicable local pay requirements. We are actively hiring for this role in Romania.
