Job Summary

Job Title: STEM Teacher

Reports to: Campus Principal

Location: In-Person CASLV Eastgate Campus Henderson NV

Position Type: Full-Time 10-Month (School Year)

Position Summary

The STEM Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging standards-based instruction in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. The role fosters critical thinking collaboration creativity and problem-solving through hands-on project-based learning experiences. The STEM Teacher promotes academic excellence and prepares students for college careers and STEM-related pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement rigorous standard-aligned STEM curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging instruction using inquiry-based and project-based learning strategies.
  • Integrate technology engineering design processes and real-world applications into instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional decisions.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes innovation collaboration and critical thinking.
  • Supervise and ensure student safety during laboratory engineering and hands-on activities.
  • Support cross-curricular integration of STEM concepts.
  • Communicate effectively with students families and staff regarding student progress.
  • Participate in professional learning communities and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records grades and required documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering Mathematics or related field.
  • Valid Nevada teaching license appropriate to grade level and subject area.
  • Strong knowledge of STEM instructional practices and standards.
  • Ability to integrate instructional technology effectively.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Masters degree in STEM-related field or Education.
  • Experience with robotics coding engineering design or laboratory-based instruction.
  • Experience implementing project-based learning models.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.

Work Environment
