JOB TITLE:

Brown and Gold Ambassadors

JOB PURPOSE:

This position will support the development team during the Fall semester of 2026 and Spring semester of 2027 at the University of Wyoming Foundation with a primary focus on annual gift fundraising data collection and stewardship working alongside the development team and in partnership with the Honors College interns can expect to access experiential learning opportunities resulting in a deep understanding of higher education fundraising nonprofit funds management institutional administration public speaking and high quality in-person professional development. Additional opportunities to work with the UWF marketing team and UW Alumni Association will be available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform individualized donor outreach as directed achieving monthly targets
  • Complete internship course materials both within the UW Foundation and on-campus as directed
  • Ethically and accurately collect data and perform internal functions to ensure data and donor contacts are recorded
  • Solicit annual gifts and engage donors meaningfully through this process
  • Provide widespread outreach to the UW constituency regarding comprehensive campaign and other current UW events
  • Participation in donor visits and events on an as-needed basis; may include representing the university to internal (ex. trustees) groups and external groups (ex. corporations)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum GPA requirement: 3.0

Currently pursuing a degree at the University of Wyoming

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for the importance and advancement of higher education; specifically the University of Wyoming
  • Understanding of the impact of philanthropy on higher education; personal experience preferred
