The Tribe DevEx & System Engineering is part of Engineering & Reliability focusing on driving end-to-end system optimization increasing engineering productivity and experience. Building on a one engineering system that serves as a Swiss Army knife for our thousands of engineers.
As of late we are also responsible for the delivery of AI for engineering. Leveraging copilot agentic ai workspaces and prompt libraries. To leverage the work of our 15000 engineers at ING.
Your Key Responsibilities
Own the engineer journey for AIforengineering and CI/CD: map current vs. target journeys remove friction and cognitive load and translate insights into a clear outcomesdriven roadmap.
Turn insights into impact: work with Product Managers IT Area Leads and squads to shape backlog items (epics features user stories) set acceptance criteria and orchestrate crossteam delivery.
Design Golden Paths and templates that make it easy to build test deploy and operate AIenabled services and softwaresecure compliant and reliable by default.
Raise the bar on reliability and speed: embed reliabilitybydesign and securitybydesign into our pipelines and tools and partner with SRE/Engineering Excellence to make resilient engineering the default.
Measure what matters: define and track a small set of journey metrics (e.g. build time review latency committoproduction lead time adoption and satisfaction) to guide decisions and prove value.
Champion responsible AI in engineering: ensure data protection policy compliance and humanintheloop practices are built into our development workflow and enablement.
Create clear enablement: produce docsascode guides playbooks and demos; run clinics office hours and showcases to drive adoption across countries and chapters.
Align ways of working: apply our delivery way of working ensure transparent status risk and dependency management and keep stakeholders informed with crisp updates.
Continuously learn and improve: use experiments postincident learnings and developer feedback to iterate the journey and our platform capabilities.
Skills and competences
Core CJE Skills
Strong analytical ability to map and improve endtoend user/engineer journeys.
Ability to translate business and user needs into clear requirements epics and user stories.
Confident stakeholder management across Product Tech Leads Engineers and Compliance.
Clear communication skills able to structure complex topics into simple and actionable insights.
Tech Affinity (CI/CD & AI for Engineering)
Affinity with CI/CD concepts (pipelines build/test/deploy flows DevOps fundamentals).
Understanding of AIforengineering use cases (developer assistance automation code insights agentic workflows).
Comfortable discussing technical topics with engineers not coding but understanding how things work.
Ways of Working
Experience working in Agile environments (refinement sprint planning dependency management).
Ability to drive adoption through demos documentation and clear communication.
Datadriven mindset: able to use journey metrics (build time review latency lead time) to guide decisions.
