The Opportunity
This role focuses on developing and executing strategic business development initiatives within targeted markets and key accounts. You will lead the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and positioning to proposal development negotiation and contract execution.
Youll also serve as a subject matter expert mentoring junior team members while strengthening the companys presence in the service marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with revenue goals
Identify and pursue new service agreement opportunities
Build and expand long-term relationships with key decision makers
Develop estimate and present complex service proposals
Negotiate contracts and successfully close high-value agreements
Manage opportunities with significant revenue potential and elevated customer expectations
Leverage CRM tools to maintain pipeline accuracy and follow-up strategy
Expand existing accounts by introducing additional services and solutions
Participate in trade associations networking events and industry conferences
Lead turnover meetings with operations teams to ensure seamless project execution
Mentor and guide less experienced team members
What It Takes
57 years of business development experience
Minimum 3 years within the commercial mechanical HVAC construction or service industry
Strong understanding of service agreements and recurring revenue models
Financial and contractual acumen (billings AR compliance contract mechanics)
Proven negotiation and influencing skills
Bachelors degree preferred (Business Sales Marketing Communications or related field)
Certifications such as LEED CEM BEP Sandler or Energy Star are a plus
