Job Summary
A high-performing and Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Southampton is seeking a skilled and reliable DT Technician to join its successful Design & Technology department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on DT Technician to support practical teaching within a well-resourced and high-achieving school environment.

The Role
The school is looking for a proactive and organised DT Technician who can support a wide range of practical activities.
Key responsibilities of the DT Technician include:
Preparing materials tools and equipment for DT lessons and practical sessions
Maintaining and organising workshop spaces and specialist equipment
Supporting students and staff during practical activities where required
Managing stock levels and ordering materials and resources
Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures including machinery safety
Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs
