Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure to join our EAM India -CAT IT Division.

The incumbent would be a member of the global team providing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Governance. The incumbent would lead/member of the Software Asset Management (SAM) team providing SAM Governance and oversight. As a lead for the SAM team incumbent will utilize their skills to achieve goals both independently and by participating on various EAM projects Cyber Security Operational and Application teams. The position will assist with developing maintaining and executing various asset management governance processes designed to mature the EAM program. This position requires both process and technical skills.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore Caterpillar PSN

What you will do

This position will report in the Enterprise Asset Management organization.

• The position requires knowledge of computer hardware and software. Strong analytical skills and understanding of the Caterpillar organization is required.
• Jobholder initiates communication with others outside their immediate work group to work on new ideas or to counsel others etc.
• Develop high-level concepts and proposals for Enterprise Asset (Software) Governance based on operational issues audit financial and security risk.
• Provide expert leadership for Asset Management concepts and applicability to EAM framework.
• Work with Security VMO Purchasing and Asset Owners to develop project and business plans to minimize the technical and/or business impact of Enterprise Asset Management and the supporting framework.
• Develop processes or process improvements to enhance visibility governance and management.
• Reliable services to support the enterprise in ongoing Asset Management initiatives.
• Serve as a team lead on EAM projects in support of Operations and Segment implementation or maintenance.
• The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
• The ability to listen to others is important to the job. Teamwork is critical as is the ability to manage projects and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Technically comfortable with enterprise IT environments
• Highly analytical with strong SQL and data skills
• Knowledgeable in software licensing and compliance
• Able to translate technical findings into business value

What you will have

• Candidate should have 8-10 years Software Asset Management experience with industry certification preferred.
• Experience creating and maintaining Enterprise-wide Governance based on Enterprise and Industry standards.
• Knowledge of EAM dependencies between HAM and SAM processes and the foundational requirements of Cyber Security and Financial risk management.
• Managing data from tools like SCCM/MECM Intune ServiceNow Flexera agent
• Expert level knowledge in Flexera ServiceNow CMDB and various software asset lifecycle tools.
• PowerBI (Dashboard Development)
• Excel (Expert Level)
• Snowflake SQL query writing
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexible and should be available as per the business need.

Nice to have skills

• Flexera SAM or ITAM certifications
• ITIL Foundation
• Microsoft AWS or Azure fundamentals
• Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or IAITAM certifications
• This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office

Hardware Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design build and integrate IT hardware into multi-platforms for the organization.

Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems database management systems communications protocols compilers and other development tools.
