About the Position
The Security Engineering team is the engine room ofNetskopesdefense strategy and technical execution. We dont just follow industry standards; we define them. As aSecurity Engineering Manager you will lead a high-caliber team of engineers dedicated to building deploying and maintaining the security infrastructure that protects our global systems.
In this role you will bridge the gap between security architecture and hands-on implementation. You will be responsible for the growth and mentorship of your team ensuring that securityincludingAI SecurityIdentity (IAM/CIAM)Cloud SecurityandModern Endpoint/Email defenseis seamlessly integrated into our product lifecycle without compromising performance.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Agile Execution:Lead develop and nurture a globally diverse team. FacilitateAgile ceremonies(Daily Standups Sprint Planning Backlog Grooming and Retrospectives) to ensure continuous delivery and a predictable engineering velocity.
AI Security Engineering:Drive the engineering ofAI Security Managementand LLM guardrails. Ensure secure adoption of Generative AI by implementing real-time inspection data de-identification and policy-driven controls for AI agents and model interactions.
Identity Security (IAM & CIAM):Oversee the design and implementation of robustIdentity and Access Management (IAM)andCustomer Identity (CIAM)frameworks. Secure the user lifecycle with automated provisioning MFA and modern protocols (OIDC SAML OAuth).
Modern Defense Integration:Manage and optimize our specialized security stack ensuring seamless integration betweenCrowdStrike Falconfor endpoint protection andMimecastfor email security. Automate threat intelligence sharing and incident response workflows across these platforms.
Technical Security Oversight:Conduct design and code reviews to ensure scalability reliability and security of distributed systems.
Operational Excellence:Drive the automation of security controls throughInfrastructure as Code (IaC)andPolicy as Code (PaC)to reduce manual overhead and human error.
Stakeholder Management:Effectively communicate security risks project statuses and strategic visions to the senior leadership team and cross-functional partners.
Compliance & Governance:Ensure all engineered solutions meet rigorous standards includingFedRAMP NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001 providing the necessary automation for evidence collection.
Requirements
Experience:Minimum10 yearsof experience building and managing security infrastructure agile methods such as with at least3-5 yearsin a formal leadership or management role.
Technical Domain Expertise:
Identity:SME-level knowledge of IAM/CIAM platforms (e.g. Okta Azure AD) and identity governance.
Endpoint & Email:Hands-on experience managing and integratingCrowdStrikeandMimecastin an enterprise environment.
Cloud Security:In-depth technical knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure) Linux internals and securing containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).
Leadership:A proven self-starter who can manage complex team dynamics resolve technical impediments and mentor senior-level talent.
Communication:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into succinct documentation or executive presentations.
Security Frameworks:Deep familiarity with FedRAMP NIST 800-190 CSA CIS Benchmarks and the COBIT framework.
Certifications:CISSPCCSP orTOGAFare highly preferred. Specific certifications in CrowdStrike Mimecast or Cloud Security (AWS/GCP/Azure) are a significant plus.
Education
Bachelors degree/University degree in Computer Science Information Security or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Compensation:
At Netskope salary is one component of our competitive total rewards package. The salary range for this position is as listed below. This is a national range. For purposes of complying with applicable laws the range applies to candidates in California Colorado Illinois Maryland New York Washington and other states.
The successful candidates starting pay will also be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications location and market conditions.
For all sales roles the posted salary range is the On Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target commission amount at 100% goal achievement.
In addition to salary candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus plan (for non-sales roles) and a stock award program. Candidates may also be eligible for a comprehensive health plan and other benefits that can be reviewed atNetskope Benefits site.
