Job Description:

Sample / Material Logistics Coordinator Duties:

Material Shipping & Logistics:

Shipping: Coordinate and execute shipments of primarily non-hazardous research materials including temperature-controlled items e.g. peptides proteins monomers to Client & other approved sites following IATA/DOT and external practices/procedures
Documentation: Prepare review and process shipping documentation e.g. BOL packing lists and US Custom forms
Receiving: Receive catalog and store chemical compounds (e.g. peptides and amino acids / monomers) received from other Client locations and suppliers in laboratory freezers.
Inventory Support: Onsite material inventory management including assist with compound counts and maintaining accurate organized records

Manage Incoming Receiving Area:

Receive delivered goods process Goods Receipt and distribute incoming material to labs and designated areas.
Direct onsite visitors to appropriate people / locations

What are the top 3-5 skills experience or education required for this position:

Five (5) years of managing shipping logistics experience preferably in a biotech environment (proteins peptides etc ) at a large multi-national corporation.
- Familiarity with IATA / DOT practices and procedures is a plus
Five (5) years of inventory management experience preferably in a biotech environment (proteins peptides etc ) at a large multi-national corporation.
Effective communication and coordination skills are essential as is attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and execute job requirements with minimal direction is desired.
Ability to routinely lift / push up to twenty-five (25) pounds (lbs).

Education:

Minimum Bachelors degree / Masters would be over qualified.
