Job Title: VP Core Systems Mainframe Security

Executive Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Core Systems & Mainframe Security to lead the vision modernization and operational excellence of the enterprise mainframe environment. This executive will oversee mission-critical z/OS platforms infrastructure security and regulatory compliance while guiding modernization initiatives and aligning technology strategy with business objectives. The role requires a strong player-coach leader capable of influencing stakeholders while maintaining deep technical credibility.

Key Leadership Responsibilities:

Define and execute the long-term strategy for core systems infrastructure modernization and security
Lead and develop high-performing mainframe and infrastructure teams driving operational excellence and innovation
Oversee enterprise z/OS environments including performance capacity planning resilience and risk management
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational security policies
Manage vendor partnerships budgets and enterprise technology initiatives
Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology investments with organizational growth and transformation goals

Executive Qualifications:

10 15 years of progressive experience in mainframe systems infrastructure and security leadership
Deep expertise across z/OS RACF CICS MQ networking (TCP/IP VTAM) and mainframe operations
Strong background in modernization initiatives DevOps integration and enterprise architecture strategy
Proven experience leading enterprise technology teams and cross-functional initiatives
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience)
