Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Graphic Pre-Production Technician to support large-format print production for high-end exhibits museums and experiential environments. This is a hands-on technical role focused on file preparation quality control and print execution not conceptual design.
The ideal candidate has strong experience taking files from designer handoff through final print ensuring all artwork is press-ready and meets exacting quality standards. This role requires deep knowledge of large-format printing color accuracy and pre-press best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Press & File Preparation

Prepare and finalize production-ready files using Adobe Illustrator InDesign and Photoshop

Review correct and optimize incoming design files for print accuracy

Manage bleeds trims crops scaling and layout adjustments
-
Resolve design flaws font issues resolution problems and color inconsistencies
Large-Format Print Production
-
Support large-format print projects ranging from 50 inches up to 10 feet

Ensure proper color matching trapping and bleed control
-
Convert files accurately for wide-format print workflows
-
Maintain consistency across multiple substrates and print outputs
Quality Control & Proofing

Perform detailed technical quality checks prior to printing
-
Verify correct color modes (CMYK vs RGB) resolution and file structure
-
Conduct proof reviews and final sign-off for production
Project Ownership & Collaboration

Run projects end-to-end from designer file intake through final print output
-
Collaborate with designers production teams and print operators
-
Interface with internal stakeholders and client-facing teams when required
-
Support production timelines and resolve technical challenges efficiently
Required Qualifications

3 5 years of experience in a pre-press pre-production or production artist role

Proven experience with large-format print production
-
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator InDesign and Photoshop

Working knowledge of CAD files for production coordination
-
Strong understanding of color matching bleed control cropping resizing and print setup

Exceptional attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
-
Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting museum exhibit or experiential projects

Background in high-level file preparation for complex print environments
