We are seeking a Lab Technician - Intermediate to join our team. This role will involve supporting engineering teams by reproducing technical issues configuring lab environments operating test equipment and maintaining hardware systems for validation and debugging. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware troubleshooting system configuration and lab operations along with a passion for working in fast-paced engineering environments.

Job Description:

The Lab Technician - Intermediate plays a critical role in supporting engineering and validation teams by ensuring lab systems hardware platforms and test environments are properly configured and maintained. This position involves hands-on work with hardware systems debugging issues to root cause and operating advanced lab equipment.

The technician will collaborate closely with engineers to reproduce issues assist in troubleshooting and ensure systems are functioning according to requirements. Additionally the role includes maintaining lab inventory supporting logistics such as shipping and tracking and improving documentation for lab processes and system configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

Reproduce system and hardware issues to assist engineering teams in identifying root causes.
Configure and operate lab equipment such as logic analyzers oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
Assemble configure and maintain prototype platforms and systems under test.
Develop follow and enhance lab setup and configuration documentation.
Coordinate with lab management to maintain inventory licensing firmware tools and equipment.
Work with engineering teams to standardize system configurations and update existing systems.
Track deploy and manage lab equipment across engineering teams.
Manage shipping requests lab support tickets and prioritize lab-related deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

Strong hardware debugging and troubleshooting experience (5 years)
Experience with soldering SMT and fine-pitch components (hands-on experience required)
Proficiency in configuring and using oscilloscopes logic analyzers and protocol analyzers (3 years)
Experience with server workstation and PC hardware setup and configuration (3 5 years)
Windows and Linux system administration and configuration (3 years)
Python scripting for automation and troubleshooting (2 years)
Familiarity with SSDs networking graphics (GFX) or similar hardware components (preferred)

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams

Education:

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field or equivalent work experience
