About the Role
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Specialist is responsible for managing and performing daily quality control responsibilities for assigned projects to ensure construction and installation activities meet established standards and specifications.
This role includes oversight and review of project documentation and physical inspections throughout the workflow process. The QA/QC Specialist collaborates with project managers superintendents lead technicians subcontractors vendors and client representatives to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product.
What Youll Do

Implement and manage the site QA/QC program including but not limited to:

Cable tray routing
-
Conduit installations
-
Cable management
-
Rack and cabinet placement

Port accuracy verification
-
Copper and fiber test validation
-
As-built documentation
-
Coordinate quality inspections with subcontractors and vendors
-
Interface with client representatives on quality-related matters
-
Coordinate and perform receipt inspections
-
Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to subcontractors as required
-
Verify site activities comply with applicable codes standards and specifications
-
Participate in internal and external site audits
-
Coordinate all site quality inspections with QC inspectors
-
Ensure all quality control documentation is completed and compiled for project closeout
-
Manage nonconformance reports and implement corrective actions
-
Issue and track site quality control instructions and remedial actions
-
Review project specifications and complete relevant training as needed
-
Monitor implementation of the approved site QC plan
-
Coordinate review and approval of technical submittals
-
Partner with project management on all quality-related matters
-
Lead weekly QA/QC meetings with subcontractor QC personnel
-
Develop inspection and testing programs
-
Ensure all site quality control documentation remains current

RCDD certification preferred

5 years of field experience in commercial construction

5 years of field experience with data center structured cabling (copper and fiber)
-
3 5 years of experience installing and testing copper and fiber systems
-
1 2 years of experience with construction management software (e.g. Autodesk Construction Cloud)

1 2 years of experience with Bluebeam Revu or CAD
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position operates in indoor and outdoor data center and construction environments. The role requires the ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods. The noise level is typically moderate.
While performing the duties of this role the employee is regularly required to sit talk hear use hands stoop kneel bend rotate push pull and reach. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
The role requires regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. The employee may be required to climb ladders up to 20 feet and work in tight or confined spaces. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
