Job Description
A leading solutions-driven organisation in the mobility and technology sector is recruiting on behalf of its Cape Town operation for a Senior Technical Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work across electronic and mechanical repairs installations and post-sale technical support within retail FMCG logistics industrial and manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electronic and mechanical repairs to digital and RF equipment at component level
- Conduct SMD component soldering and detailed fault diagnostics
- Support product installations and undertake site visits when required
- Provide post-sale technical support to internal teams partners and end-users
- Configure and test demo systems according to specification
- Complete accurate technical documentation and ensure workshop compliance and safety standards
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining high service standards
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum 2 years experience in technical repairs to component level
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with barcode printing software WLAN Android OS and software security patching
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional customer-focused approach with the ability to manage occasional high-pressure situations
