Job Description
The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator supports Shipping & Receiving of products both internally and with external customer deliveries. Working under the Contracts Production department this role reviews contract shipping/reporting requirements coordinates with internal teams and external carriers and maintains alignment with FAR and DCMA standards.- Review contracts to determine shipping packaging and reporting requirements.
- Package ship and track outgoing orders using carriers (FedEx UPS USPS freight etc.)
- Ship both Domestic and Internationally ensuring Customs paperwork is properly filled out.
- Receive inspect and verify incoming materials supplies and equipment against purchase orders.
- Deliver received materials to the appropriate staff or departments.
- Prepare and complete all shipping/receiving documentation.
- Support cross-training with Production Inventory and Quality teams to ensure operational coverage.
- Update/Maintain the Shipping/Receiving Procedures Workbook
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or trade certification preferred).
- 3 years of shipping/receiving experience
- Ability to lift 2550 pounds and perform warehouse tasks (standing bending carrying).
- Proficiency with MS Outlook Excel and Word; experience with online shipping/purchasing systems.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident) due to export-controlled materials.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with ITAR and FAR compliance.
- Exposure to ASTM D-3951 (Commercial Packaging) and MIL-STD-129 (Military Marking for Shipment and Storage).
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills; able to follow and maintain written procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
