Activate is a tech company known for creating Canadas first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Mechanical Assembler. The Mechanical Assembler position involves working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a commitment to growth through rapid prototyping. A successful applicant will be expected to autonomously complete production tasks from part picking to completing assemblies. Due to a constantly changing production cycle training will be provided as new tasks are available to learn. This is a permanent full-time position. Day shifts are from 7:00am-3:00pm.


The Duties and Responsibilities:


Part Picking and Assembly

  • Carry out daily picking tasks to help meet production targets
  • Process incoming sales orders and ensure items are picked accurately and on time
  • Work closely with Team Leads and employees in other departments when completing orders
  • Follow all quality control standards and handle materials properly and safely
  • Communicate with production planning and inventory teams when discrepancies or issues arise
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
  • Suggest and support improvements that can increase efficiency and reduce errors


Fabrication and Assembly

  • Use various hand and power tools to complete game component assemblies based on part drawings and assembly guides
  • Update component assembly guides as changes occur
  • Prepare small-batch wiring harness orders for concept prototyping
  • Provide support during quality control testing when needed
  • Provide support during local prototype installations when needed
  • Maintain workstation cleanliness and organization
  • Maintain workspace inventory levels based on weekly checks
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned


The Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 3-years of experience in an assembly production setting is required
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license is required
  • Access to reliable transportation is required
  • Experience with power tools is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and experience using ERP systems
  • Strong organizational skills especially when arranging parts and quantities during picking
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
