Department Overview:

The Credit Risk Analytics and Collateral Management team is part of the Risk Management function. The team is accountable for the generation and monitoring of an independent view of the Counterparty Credit Risk and Collateral activities of TDs global trading activities. We support wholesale business initiatives inform an array of risk management decisions and facilitate business through managing evolving front office needs while ensuring appropriate capture and control of risk.

Within the Singapore region we are responsible for activities related to the production analysis and reporting of credit risk and exception management as well as collateral management activities. The Singapore regional team is responsible for stakeholder management and activities with regards to the implementation of new or revised risk policies system migration and model implementations and analysis of the key measures used by TD to monitor and control counterparty credit risk. We further provide support to key stakeholders such as the Front Office and Global Market Credits on going market related queries.

Job Description:

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will primarily be focused on developing accurate and efficient systems and processes of monitoring reporting and control of Credit Risk exposures and Credit Risk Capital. The candidate will also participate in initiatives and ad-hoc requests driven by new businesses or products regulatory requirements changes in risk policies and risk & valuation systems.

The role will involve close partnership and interaction with internal and external stakeholders including Front Office Market Risk Global Credit Finance Compliance Technology Third-party Vendors etc.

The individual is accountable for facilitating the planning and execution of regional credit risk and capital regulatory initiatives.

  • Document and deliver comprehensive Business Requirements in accordance with MAS regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with various functions including Risk Management Finance Front Office Compliance and Technology to define and implement reporting logics
  • Prepare detailed test cases and conduct Functional and User Acceptance Testing
  • Maintain regular communication with Program Sponsors and Stakeholders as well as Third-party Vendors to ensure project integrity and direction
  • Draft procedures and provide training sessions upon completion of projects to ensure smooth transition to BAU
  • Assigned to participate in various initiatives and ad hoc requests that impact the Singapore region and Credit Risk Analytics. This applies to initiatives governed by head office as well as initiatives originating in Singapore. Initiatives will vary from infrastructure improvements changes in regulatory requirements to supporting local business initiatives. The individual is expected to utilize their expertise and relationships to help drive these initiatives to completion.
  • Drive ongoing evaluation and improvement of existing processes as regulatory requirement and business activities change. The successful candidate is expected to plan and execute process improvements for processes under their responsibility to address any impacts caused by these changes. Where appropriate the individual will engage Credit Risk Analytics team in other offices or cross-functional stakeholders in order to deliver the most cost effective value-added solutions.
  • Meet all requirements defined in Credit Risk Standards including but not limited to Rule Based Escalation Management Review and Escalation Documentation LAN Access Control and EUC Documentation.
  • Partner with other Credit Risk Analytics teams to ensure any audit or regulatory findings are managed and cleared within the committed timelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Wholesale markets including products and market participants
  • Understanding of global and regional regulatory rules specifically of credit risk and capital regulatory requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of finance credit risk or market risk reporting experience at financial institutions
  • Experience driving large and complex regulatory projects across multiple function groups in a high demand environment
  • Experience with data structures systems and large/complex datasets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office product suite including programming
  • Experience with regulatory reporting platforms/vendors e.g. Axiom Suade Oracle would be a plus.
