Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Rounds in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location as an armed patrol officer in a driving role. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents and communicate clearly with site teams. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures access control policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting actions taken and communicating updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas exterior grounds and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity checking doors gates and restricted spaces for irregularities.
- Control entry and exit for employees visitors and vendors by verifying credentials and/or authorizations screening deliveries and directing guests according to site procedures.
- Monitor surveillance systems and security-related equipment complete detailed activity reports and report maintenance concerns hazards and/or unusual conditions per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
