The Global Director of Payroll provides enterprise leadership and oversight for payroll operations across 58 countries. This role will lead a global pay and time transformation at DN over the next 3-5 years. This leader ensures payroll is processed accurately on time and in full compliance with company policies and global regulatory requirements. This leader partners with senior HR Finance and business executives to align payroll operating procedures with best practice and to drive global pay and time improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Oversee Payroll operations and services across DNs global footprint.
- Collaborate with senior HR and business leaders to: Ensure that payroll objectives policies and practices align with the companys rewards philosophy and other HR initiatives and efforts.
- Identify and recommend strategies to improve the companys payroll practices and programs.
- Lead execution of 3-5 year transformational roadmap focusing on process and technology infrastructure.
- Drive the modernization of pay and time systems and consolidating vendors across the DN landscape including standing up new vendors platforms and integrations.
- Harmonize processes creating standard operating procedures documentation calendars controls reporting and similar.
- Transition first-line / FAQ management to HR Shared Services.
- Ensure that global payroll operations comply with applicable legal requirements.
- Establish standard escalation protocols.
- Assess and resolve complex and critical payroll challenges.
- Oversee harmonization of payroll programs/processes arising through acquisition integration.
- Manage contractual relationships with third-party service providers.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Typically has 10-12 years of experience in Payroll and typically 4-6 years leadership experience.
- Experience leading global teams.
- Experience leading global pay & time transformation initiatives.
- Analytical thinker with and issue resolution skills.
- Fluent business English skills (both written and spoken) with strong ability to communicate.
