Tesserais seeking anElectricianMaintenancewhoplansestimatesand performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installationmaintenanceor repair of equipment for the generation distribution orutilizationof electric equipment and components.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Work involves installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators transformers switchboards controllers circuit breakers motors heating units conduit systems or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints drawings layouts or other specifications; locating and diagnosing problems in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.

Replaces lamps andballasts cleans fixtures repairs outlets switches connections sensors and ground fault interrupters and performs miscellaneous electrical repairs.

Repairspanel boards motor control centers transformers and circuit breakers.

Installs or repairs wiring electrical and electronic components.

Inspectsoperates and tests industrial equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

Plans and lays out work using diagrams drawingsmanualsand schematic diagrams

Keep records of maintenance workperformedand cost of work.

Portable handheld electronic devices shall be used where applicable in the performance of daily duties for purposes including but not limited to documenting work timekeeping and ordering materials

Restores fixtures to proper operatingconditionsand lighting to current Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) standards.

This position may be subject to call-back availability based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

Highschool Diploma/GED is.

Minimum3years experienceCommercial and Electrical Systems and Controls

Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC plumbing electrical) and maintenance practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability toperformthe following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutassistance. The physical demands of this position may bereasonably accommodatedfor individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to70pounds.

May beto reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be.

Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

A valid state drivers license iswith the ability to obtain andmaintaincoverage byTesserasinsurance.
