Supports physicians and coordinators through the Peer Review process by managing communication meetings documentation and case closeouts. Prepares charts tracks OPPE/FPPE analyzes cases for outside review and maintains required OPPE/FPPE records. Collaborates with Peer Review Risk Management Medical Staff Office and Performance Improvement to coordinate reviews and schedule ongoing meetings.
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Two years experience working with physicians and other clinical staff; preferred.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Intermediate computer skills with an emphasis on MS Word Access and Excel. Able to utilize the technology of the Internet.
Experience with visual display of data and control charts.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Keen attention to detail and ability to complete activities on time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls.
Uses independent judgment to determine priority and sensitivity of inquiries and responses.
Prepares and/or supervises the preparation of correspondence forms reports and other written communications as required.
Provides team members with all required documentations for medical department meetings (e.g. locations of required charts current status reports history of reviews).
Maintains assigned calendar(s).
Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes.
Originates prepares processes and edits reports and documents.
Demonstrates compliance with hospital safety policies and procedures.
Assists with special projects and interdepartmental needs when appropriate.
