Job Summary
Lytx has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Hungry Humble and Capable team of engineers responsible for building and deploying solutions to our fleet of over 650000 connected devices installed in vehicles driving worldwide. Lytx is the leading provider of in-cab video safety and telematics. The device software team enable real time sensing of driving behavior and environmental conditions that assist our customers to manage the safety and efficiency of their fleet of vehicles. As an engineer on the team you will build solutions that enable connectivity and real time access to video recorded in the vehicle AI triggered insights captured from live video advanced telemetry and vehicle sensors and integration with onboard vehicle systems.
Youll Get To:
Performs full lifecycle software development and maintenance using C and C in an embedded Linux environment
Creates modifies and documents build mechanisms for continuous integration and quality
Design develop and optimize embedded firmware for Linux-based video telematics devices
Mentor team members to grow their skills and build high quality solutions.
Collaborate with HW Cloud and AI teams to integrate real-time video processing event detection and IoT connectivity
Enhance performance stability and efficiency in embedded Linux (kernel & user space)
What Youll Need:
Able to design and implement applications as parts of a system of cooperating state machines
Thorough understanding of embedded Linux platforms.
Bachelors/Masters in CS/ECE or equivalent with minimum 6 years of embedded Linux firmware experience
3 years of experience in video pipeline (capture process analyze and transmit)
Expertise in C/C Multimedia framework like Gstreamer
Exposure in ISP tuning Linux drivers BSP and ARM-based SoCs bring up is a big plus
Passion for Problem-solving in high-performance low-latency embedded systems
Experience with different development tools(git ecosystem jenkins) Attlassian Suite
Experience with leveraging open-source components in delivering software solutions.
Experience with Open Embedded bit bake /build root native build tools
Nice to have:
Experience with one or more of wireless communications video audio and GPS
Experience withb edge AI acceleration or IoT Protocols (MQTT)
Experience with UML state charts and sequence diagrams or similar design methodologies for example: Quantum Leaps frameworks
