What you will be doing in this role
Reporting to the Biomedical Engineering Manager and working as part of our dedicatedEngineeringteam offouryou will oversee the maintenance testing and repair of medical equipment ensuring adherence to Australian Standards and NSQHS requirements.
In this roleyoullcollaborate with internal teams address inquiries and inspect new and repaired equipment for safety and unsafe equipment report issues and provide feedback on potential equipment perform routine testing in patient areasmaintainaccurateservice records order parts and ensure a clean compliant workspace in line with hospital and safety policies.
You will consistently follow Workplace Health and Safety principles promptly reporting accidents injuries and hazards within 24 hours throughRiskman.
Youllbea skilled and reliableEngineerwho values patient safetyteamworkand technical excellence. To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Formal Qualifications in Biomedical Engineering
- Ideallyyoullhave post-qualification experienceas a Biomedical Engineer in a hospital environmentor working in a service role for a medicaldevicecompany however new graduates arealsoencouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and their application to medical equipment.
- In-depth understanding of hospital operations and medical equipment.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) likeMS Dynamics Field Service or similar.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team within a busy biomedical engineering department.
