Security Officer Overnight Patrol

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol in Rochester NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control observe for unusual activity and document findings using site tools. With an agile reliable and innovative team you will deliver a welcoming presence through strong communication teamwork and integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings production and office areas parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization directing visitors and deliveries and following site badging and escort requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
• Complete timely accurate documentation such as patrol logs access records and incident reports and report maintenance issues or suspicious activity through Allied Universal reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
