Summary:
The Multi-Modality Technologist II provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies values and mission of the organization. Maintains MHS clinical competencies and regularly practices in each of the alternate imaging disciplines.Responsibilities:
Maintains competency in at least two advanced imaging modalities. Advanced imaging modalities include Nuclear Medicine (NM) Computed Tomography (CT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI).Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues. Enters transmits and reports scan with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as on call shift responsibilities as required by the appropriately for all supplies used for procedure(s).Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots resolves and/or reports equipment malfunctions as patient history and physicians orders. Educates patient regarding procedures equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation.Competencies:
