Job Summary
Garda Capital Partners (Garda) is a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm with over 22 years of experience deploying relative value strategies across fixed income markets for institutional investors. Gardas primary offices are located in Wayzata New York City West Palm Beach Geneva Zug Copenhagen Singapore and Scottsdale.
Garda is looking to hire a Trading Assistant to be part of our team based in our Geneva office.
Position Responsibilities
- Capture trades timely and accurately into funds trade management system
- Work with counterparties and clearing brokers to ensure that trades are matched and accurately reflected on trade date
- Liaise with Gardas Middle Office and external Fund Administrator on trade confirmations and carry out amendments promptly
- Work closely with portfolio managers to investigate and resolve issues
- Monitor swap book and reduce line items via riskless swap collapses with dealers
- Calculate and hedge the Funds currency exposures
- Assist the repo desk with bond deliveries and failed trades
- Maintain daily communication with all stakeholders (counterparties brokers middle office fund administrators) via Bloomberg Professional and other channels
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- University degree in Finance Economics or related field
- Experience with Fixed Income products is a plus preferably within a Trading Support function
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
- Detail-oriented nature with strong numerical and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to learn
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours
