Job summary What to expect:

As an Inventory Driver Operator in our Mountpark Packaging site you will carry out a range of varied tasks and functions drive company vehicles as and when required to collect and/or deliver goods/stock to ensure customer requirements performance targets and quality standards are met and when possibleexceeded.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving company lorries on and between all CV UKM sites to make all necessary deliveries and collections to maintain the business requirements and materials flow maintaining competence at the highest level.
  • Receipt put-away and replenishment of Silver Stock lenses and Raw Material as requested by your Team Leader.
  • Compliance with PPE policies as well asHealth & Safety at Work Act and promotion of good EHS and GMP practice within the department to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors to the area. Particularly ensuring safe use of specialist equipment such as Order Pickers forklift trucks pallet movers racking and other electrical equipment

  • Where requested carrying out daily checks against established EHS and GMP checklists covering equipment (e.g. Order Pickers FLTs Company Vehicles) and the general working environment.

  • Picking and issue of materials for business units.

  • Receiving incoming lenses and Raw Materials from internal and external sources.

  • Putting away products carrying out replenishments moving and rearranging stock.

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Willingness to participate in any continuous improvement initiatives within the work area.

  • Willingness to receive new training and train others as determined by the departmental training matrix.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision within a team and at time be able to work effectively on your own where necessary

  • Quality consciousness.

  • Ability to handle repetitive work and ensure consistency of work standards.

Experience & Education:

  • Driving License including C1 (3.5 to 7.5 ton Vehicle)

  • Mechanical Handling Equipment Licenses: Order Pickers VNAs forklift trucks and pallet stacker (or competence to achieve this) and use RF devices.

  • Good working knowledge of Warehouse procedures and environment computer inventory systems and Microsoft office (or competence to achieve this).

  • Drivers to be in possession of a valid Tacho card and up to date with all driver qualifications.

  • Good working knowledge of the warehouse

  • Basic understanding of the equipment relevant to the specified area including in-house applications e.g. JDA WMS BAAN and ServiceNow

  • Able to use Microsoft Office to produce documents and read/send emails
