About the Role

In this opportunity as aResearchEngineer you will:

Develop and Deliver:Applying modern software development practices you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycledesigningbuildingtestingand delivering high-quality solutions.

Build Scalable ML Solutions:You will create large scale data processing pipelines to help researchers build and train novelmachinelearning algorithms. You willdevelophigh performing scalablesystems in the context of large online delivery environments.

Be a Team Player:Working in a collaborative team-oriented environment you will share information value diverse ideas and partnerwith cross-functional and remote teams.

About You

Essential skills & experience

ABachelor of Sciencedegree computerscienceor related field

At least2yearssoftware engineering experience ideally in the context of machine learning and natural language processing

Experience andunderstanding ofPython software development stacksand ecosystems ideally also experience with other programming languages and ecosystems.

Ability tounderstand applyintegrateand deploy Machine Learning capabilities and techniques into other systems.

Familiaritywith the Python data science stack through exposure to libraries such asNumpyScipy PandasDaskspaCy NLTK scikit-learn

Take pride in writing clean reusable maintainable and well-tested code

Adesire to learn and embrace new and emerging technology

Familiaritywith probabilistic models andunderstandthe mathematical concepts underlying machine learning methods

Preferred skills & experience

Proficiencyin automation system monitoring and cloud-native applications with familiarity in AWS or Azure (or a related cloud platform)

Previousexposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) problemsandhavefamiliarity with key tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER) Information Extraction Information Retrieval etc.

Ability tounderstand and translate between language and methodologies used both in research and engineering fields

Ability totakeand integrateMachine Learning solutions to production-grade software
