In this role likely duties include being part of a survey crew supporting various projects within the civil engineering field. Types of survey work will include boundary surveying preliminary surveys to be used in civil design construction staking and as-built post construction surveys. Additional duties may include construction observation. Candidate must be willing to travel throughout the state/region for project meetings project management related activities and construction observation.
- Travel to various jobsites to obtain necessary survey data and jobsite information.
- Gather field survey data to determine precise location & measurements of points elevations and contours etc.
- Process survey data ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and professional standards.
- Perform simple surveying calculations deed research deed plotting and map checks.
- Prepare accurate survey plats and drawings legal descriptions and alignment drawings.
- Ensure schedules and productivity objectives set by Survey Crew Chief are achieved.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- AA Degree in Engineering Technology or Land Surveying preferred.
- Above average math skills and strong computer/ technical skills.
- Strong communications skills with the ability to interact with coworkers and contractors.
- Must be detail orientated self-motivated and able to work in an outdoors environment.
- Valid drivers license required with good driving record.
- Ability to lift equipment or objects weighing 50 to 75 pounds.
- Daily activity will require prolonged periods of standing walking and pounding hubs.
- Trimble survey equipment experience preferred.
