Job Summary

The Computer Science Co-op will assist with engineering projects in a manufacturing environment gaining hands-on experience in product design process improvement and digitalization.

This role will involve working closely with experienced engineers to support ongoing operations implement improvements and ensure product quality. T

he ideal candidate has a strong interest in control systems problem-solving and applying classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.

Qualifications :

Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
Min. 2.5 GPA
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Basic PowerBI experience preferred
Basic understanding of business process analysis and improvement principles
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Enthusiasm for learning and applying new concepts in a professional setting
Relevant coursework or academic projects in computer science programming machine languages automation and AI capabilities
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment

WORK CONDITIONS:

Industrial worksite environment
Ability to work in a noisy environment that is open to the elements and with exposure to the inhalation of fumes and solvents
Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times such as safety shoes ear plugs/ear muffs safety glasses and respirator use
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Standing walking climbing balancing gripping grasping carrying and pushing/pulling required greater than 90% of the time
Kneeling crouching squatting and twisting required intermittently on a daily basis
