Data Scientist

Job Summary

The Intermediate Data Scientist is responsible for designing implementing and evaluating data science solutions to solve clinical and business problems. The Intermediate Data Scientist will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams mentor Associate Data Scientists and work on projects from ideation to
completion. The Intermediate Data Scientist is expected to contribute to the improvement of existing processes and methodologies. Individual job responsibilities include identifying opportunities for data-driven solutions conducting advanced data analysis and generating insights designing implementing and evaluating machine learning models and algorithms collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring and supporting Associate Data Scientists.

Essential Functions

• Seeks appropriate data sources and ensures data quality for projects
• Develops new descriptive inferential and predictive models and enhances and fine tunes existing models
• Analyzes and interprets data sets across various domains including exploratory data analysis (EDA) advanced statistical analyses and predictive analytics
• Independently creates data visualizations and uses storytelling methods to communicate model results and findings to stakeholders effectively
• Actively pursues opportunities to grow their business acumen and skills from more experienced team members. Provide support and recommendations to less experienced team members to enhance their technical skills
• Adheres to the teams application of best practices and organizational standards of the Software Development Lifecycle and machine learning operations (MLOps) to ensure reproducibility of findings and effective model deployment

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent Training in a quantitative discipline mathematics computer science statistics physics econometrics or a related discipline. Similar certified online education or work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• 2 years of relevant experience 2 - 5 years of relevant training in a quantitative discipline health care data science statistics or a related field equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency may also be considered. Proven track record of applying data science techniques to real-world problems and delivering results. Similar certified online education or work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred

• Masters Degree or equivalent Data Science Analytics Computer Science Statistics or related field
