Job Summary

The Chief of Staff to the President APAC is a trusted advisor and operational enabler responsible for ensuring efficiency in decision-making managing priorities and optimizing processes to support regional leadership across India Greater China Japan and Southeast Asia. Operating at the intersection of strategy governance and execution the role helps structure priorities anticipate issues and ensure timely follow-through on high-impact initiatives. 
 
The Chief of Staff plays an active role in executive governance strategic projects and selected M&A or transformation topics while acting as a key interface with Central office and Group leadership. Success in this role requires strong judgment cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to operate effectively across different markets seniority levels and time zones

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Project & Operational Management (APAC) 

  • Lead or support the delivery of selected regional projects ensuring alignment with APAC strategic objectives. 

  • Track project milestones dependencies and risks across markets proactively addressing roadblocks to maintain momentum. 

  • Ensure the President APACs involvement is focused on high-impact initiatives filtering and structuring topics that do not require direct executive oversight. 

  • Maintain clear visibility on key priorities keeping leadership informed while ensuring teams remain aligned and accountable. 

  • Design and continuously improve regional business rhythms including APAC leadership calls market reviews and ExCo pre-alignments. 

Governance & Executive Cadence 

  • Structure and manage governance processes including APAC leadership meetings strategic reviews and coordination with Group ExCo. 

  • Ensure all meetings have a clear purpose with well-prepared agendas high-quality pre-reads and clearly framed decision points. 

  • Facilitate productive discussions ensuring decisions are well documented and next steps clearly defined. 

  • Follow up on action items track accountability and ensure disciplined execution across markets. 

  • Act as guardian of executive time and decision quality. 

Regional Coordination & Leadership Alignment 

  • Act as a central liaison between the President APAC and country leaders across India Greater China Japan and SEA. 

  • Proactively identify urgent sensitive or high-impact topics requiring attention or escalation. 

  • Ensure issues are addressed at the right level and at the right timing avoiding both under- and over-escalation. 

  • Foster alignment and collaboration across diverse markets within a matrixed organization. 

Strategy & Transformation Support 

  • Support the President APAC on strategic initiatives including market assessments organizational evolution and transformation programs. 

  • Ensure strong linkage between strategic intent and operational delivery across APAC markets. 

Communication & Central Office Interface 

  • Ensure seamless communication between APAC markets and Central functions. 

  • Act as a key interface between the President APAC and Group ExCo. 

  • Prepare executive-level materials for strategic reviews board discussions and regional performance updates. 

  • Reinforce APACs strategic priorities and ensure consistent structured information flow upward and downward. 

 


Qualifications :

  • 6 Years of experience in strategy consulting business operations transformation or similar roles. 

  • Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across markets and time zones. 

  • Demonstrated exposure to executive-level governance or strategic discussions. 

  • Demonstrated interest in strategy transformation and executive-level problem solving 

  • Ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear actionable insights. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without formal authority. 

  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential matters. 

  • Ability to influence without authority and operate credibly with executives. 

  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Mandarin Japanese or another major Asian language strongly preferred. 

  • Strong cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively across diverse business and cultural contexts.
