Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
Salary: 45000 to 60000 bonus
Location: Greater Leeds

Our client is a well-established independent accountancy and business advisory firm in Leeds continuing to grow and looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to their team.
The role: what youll be doing
Statutory and management accounts
- Preparingstatutory accountsmanagement accountsandVAT returnsfor a varied portfolio
- Ensuring work is completed accurately on time and to a consistently high standard
Client relationship management
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients building long-term relationships
- Visiting client premises when needed to provide hands-on support and advice
Tax and technical support
- Supporting withtax compliance and advisorywork including:
- Reviewingcorporation tax returns
- Assisting withcapital allowance reviews
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver practical commercial solutions
Team support and mentoring
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members day-to-day
- Collaborating with Managers and Partners to deliver excellent client outcomes
Systems and technology
- Using practice software and cloud tools includingIRIS Xero Sage and ProAudit
- Applying strongExcelcapability to support reporting and analysis
What our client is looking for
To be considered you should have:
- ACA or ACCA qualified(orexam finalistwith strong relevant experience)
- 5 years UK accountancy experience ideallywithin a UK accountancy practice
- Proven experience preparingstatutory accounts management accounts and VAT returns
- Confidence working withUK owner-managed and family-run businesses
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly to clients
- Strong Excel skillsand a positive approach to using tech to improve efficiency
Location and working arrangements
- Greater Leeds
- Flexible working patternsavailable (details to be discussed based on role level and team needs)
- Client visits form part of the role (as required)
