As an Intern Global Alpha Portfolio Optimization and Insight you will support quantitative research anddevelopment onprojects aligned with the teams mission. You will work closely with portfolio managers and other investment professionals alongside experienced colleagues with strong quantitative backgrounds.
You will contribute meaningfully to the investment process by building frameworks tools and analyses that directly support portfolio-level decision-makingexecutioninsights and risk allocation across investment strategies
As anIntern Global Alpha PortfolioOptimizationand Insight youcould:
Enhance existing models and tools used to analyze the performance and characteristics of different strategies
Help build analytical tools and market-monitoring dashboards
Conduct research toidentify define and develop new analyses to deepen execution insights
Contribute to the documentation and presentation of research results and recommendations to the team
Currently enrolled in aMaster-levelor final-yearBachelorsinafinancial quantitative discipline:Financial engineeringMathematics & Computer Engineeringorsimilar
Stronganalytics andprogramming skills (Python SQL or equivalent)
Knowledge of BloombergandPower BI anasset
Pursuing a CFA designation an asset
Strong analytical skills and a meticulous research-oriented mindset
Experience with data analysis and numerical methods including time-series analysisand optimization
Good understanding of investments and financial instruments
Previousinternship experience
Ability tothrive ina fast-pacedenvironment witha high levelof autonomy
Strong attention to detail and rigorous approach to researchanalysisand documentation
Team-oriented and collaborativemindset
Eagerness to learn ideate and innovate
Good communication skills in English and French (or willingness to learn)(regular interactions in English with investment partners based outside of Quebec(peers bankers brokerage firms etc.)and PSP employees in our offices in Hong Kong London and New York and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
